Making this old fashion recipe is a ton of fun! These Cannabis Lollipops are much easier to make than you may think. The most fun part of making your own Cannabis Lollipops, is you can make them totally customizable. There are a ton of different flavors, or flavor combinations you can try. You can make them less potent and enjoy them throughout the day for micro dosing. Or you can make them more potent for an extra fun kick!
Cannabis Lollipop choices
You can stick with the normal flavors like we did in this video, we did Raspberry flavoring. Or you can mix and match your own flavoring to whatever your heart desires. The flavoring we get is highly concentrated, so you don’t need much to get a delicious flavor. The next batch of Lollipops we do, I want to try and make Strawberry Watermelon. To do this, simply buy two flavors and mix them! You can do spicy flavors like a cinnamon vanilla, or a fun summer flavor like candy apple. Whatever you decide, you will seriously enjoy. You can also add food coloring to make your Cannabis Lollipops whatever color you desire.
Another way to customize your Cannabis Lollipops is by deciding what type of Cannabis you want to use. To infuse this recipe you can use Cannabis or Hemp Tincture, or Distillate. You can pick a delicious lemon or berry Cannabis, turn that into your tincture, then use that to infuse your lollipops. You can do the same with Hemp Flower. We decided to use Distillate in our Lollipops, just for a little extra kick.
Cannabis Lollipop Tips
When making any type of hard candy or lollipop, it moves fast, so be prepared! Have all your supplies ready, and your ingredients measured out. Add your lollipop sticks into the mold before your start cooking. Have all supplies laid out, so you can easily grab when you need, when you need it!
The weather can actually effect this recipe! When the weather is humid, it makes it difficult to have your candy mixture reach the hard crack stage. We actually ran into this issue on a batch we made. It was a rainy day, and I assumed it would be just fine! The Lollipops still turned out fine, but they were really sticky. To avoid this, try and make this recipe on a dry day, with no rain, and lower humidity!
You will need to use a candy thermometer while making this. Use a thermometer that can clip to the side of your pan, so it will be out of the way, and you don’t have to worry about it slipping. You can also use a digital thermometer. We got a digital thermometer off Amazon, and really enjoy it. It is out of the way, and tells accurate temperatures. Here is the digital thermometer if you are interested.
