  • 6 tablespoon cannabutter

  • 2 cups buttermilk

  • 1 1/2 cup cornmeal

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • 4 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 egg


  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. While the oven preheats, stick your cast iron skillet in the oven so it heats up along with the oven.
  • In a large bowl combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl mix together buttermilk, egg and 4 tablespoons cannabutter. Pour this over the dry ingredients and stir.
  • Add the remaining cannabutter to cast iron skillet, making sure to coat the bottom. Pour the batter into the cast iron skillet and cook for 25-30 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes. For extra potent Cornbread, top your cornbread slices with additional Cannabutter before serving.
