Decarbing Cannabis

Mason Jar Decarboxylation

Today we are going to try a recipe from Freddie, we are going to decarb using a mason jar!

There are so many different ways to decarb your cannabis. This is one way we have never tried before. Main reasons for using a sealed decarb jar would be that you maintain the integrity of the terpenes and taste whilst minimizing the evaporation of THC and other cannabinoids. For this recipe you will just need your ground up cannabis, a mason jar that had a tight fitting lid, a baking sheet and your oven. Learn how to prepare your cannabis in a mason jar.

Ingredients

  • 3.5-28 oz Cannabis or Hemp Flower

  • 1 Mason Jar and Lid

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 220 Degrees.
  • Grind cannabis like you would to smoke it and place in Mason Jar. Then tighten lid. We usually use anywhere from 3.5g to 28g of flower or trim depending on recipe.
  • Bake in oven for 60 minutes
  • Remove from oven and let set until it reaches room temperature then it’s ready for any required recipe. The mason jar seals in the terpenes and doesn’t allow for much evaporation like the baking method.
