Cannabis Glazed Doughnuts

These sugar coated, glazed, and infused doughnuts are beyond tasty. They are sure to become a favorite infused sweet treat! For this infused recipe, you will be using Cannabutter. If you want to add a glaze to the doughnuts, the instructions will be under the recipe card.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup cannabutter

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 cup milk

  • 2 1/4 teaspoon instant or active dry yeast

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 4 cups flour

  • shortening

  • salt

Directions

  • Heat milk until warm, be sure to not overheat. Add sugar and stir.
  • In a small bowl add the yeast, and pour the milk and sugar over the yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Melt butter in a small bowl, beat in the eggs. Be sure to stir constantly.
  • Using a mixer add the yeast to the egg mixture. Mix to completely combine. Start adding flour in, add about 1/4 cup of flour at a time. Once all added, mix for 5 minutes. Let the dough sit for 10 minutes.
  • Oil a bottom and sides of a large bowl. Transfer the dough to the bowl. Coat the dough in the oil, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Turn the refrigerated dough onto a floured surface and roll out into 1/4 thickness.  Cut out the doughnuts and holes.  Place the doughnuts on a floured baking sheet and cover with a towel.  Let rise for at least 1 hour in a warm place.  After one hour, if the doughnuts are visibly puffier, they are ready to fry.
  • Heat a decent amount of oil or shortening in a large pan. Using a thermometer heat to 370-375. Fry doughnuts for 1 minute on each side. They brown very quickly, so keep a close watch on them.
  • Once cooked, place doughnuts on a paper towel lined baking sheet. Flip them over on the paper towel so you get as much oil or shortening off as possible.

Ingredients

  • Glaze Recipe-

  • 3 cups powdered sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions

  • Mix together all of the glaze ingredients until smooth.
  • Dip the doughnuts in the glaze.
  • Remove the doughnuts to a wire rack with a paper towel or cookie sheet underneath.  Serve warm or at room temperature.
