Cannabis Infused Red Velvet Cupcakes

  • 1/2 cup cannabutter, at room temperature

  • 11/2 cup sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 1/3 cup cake flour

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons red food coloring

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using a mixer, beat the cannabutter and sugar together for 2-3 minutes. Add eggs in, one at a time.
  • In a large bowl add cake flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl add the vanilla extract, buttermilk and red food coloring.
  • Add a fourth of the dry ingredients and mix, add a third of the wet. Continue adding in a dry, wet, dry pattern, ending with the dry ingredients
  • Add into cupcake papers, about halfway full. Bake 20-22 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean. About halfway through the bake time, rotate the oan around.

  • 1/2 cup butter, at room temperature

  • 8 oz Philly cream cheese, room temperature

  • 2 cups powdered sugar

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract


  •  Beat the butter and cream cheese together, about 3 minutes.  Add the vanilla extract and mix.
  • Add the powdered sugar, continually taste to get to desired sweetness. Pipe onto cooled cupcakes.
