Ingredients

  • 8-10 grams Decarbed cannabis ( if you want to use more or less cannabis that is totally fine, just be aware you may need to change the amount of butter you use)

  • 3 sticks Unsalted Butter

  • 8 Cups Water

Directions

  • Get the water boiling, once it is at a nice roiling boil add your butter in and stir until melted.
  • Once the butter is melted, turn heat to medium and add the decarbed cannabis
  • Cook for 1 hour, stirring every 10-15 minutes.
  • After the hour is up strain your mixture using a strainer and cheesecloth. Stick in the fridge for a minimum of 5 hours, or in the freezer until hard.
  • Take a knife and cut the top layer of butter off and transfer to a new bowl. (You will have a little water under the butter, just throw away)
  • Once your butter is transferred to a new dish, stick it in the microwave until melted.
  • Put it back in the fridge to harden up. Then it is ready to be used for cooking!

Hi, I’m just wondering how many cups of butter is in this recipe? You only say “sticks” and the ones you used in the video are thin and long but mine are like blocky and long

  2. I’m interested in trying but seems like it would be pretty weak, even the picture looks like regular butter. I normally do a 12hour cook and my butter comes out straight green. Might have to give it a go just to see

  3. Do I add water to recipe if I’m not using Mason jars? And if so how much? First time butter maker.
    Thank you

  5. Did you guys do the last step? To microwave after hardening the first time? Is that step necessary?
